UNIONMADE INDIGO

Photography: Andrew Paynter

This collaboration was the second installment of Unionmade Indigo.  The first collection was so popular, and our customers wanted more. I have always loved Indigo; the craft in which it is dyed, the way it ages and improves. Whether it’s jeans or an indigo t-shirt, it fades and wears with time and becomes something truly unique and personal. The collection included pieces by Anonymousism, Golden Bear, Journal Standard, Superior Labor, Grei, Stanley and Sons, and Quoddy.  When choosing where to shoot the campaign, I chose somewhere that I have always loved; the Sonoma County Coast and Sea Ranch.  Photographer Andrew Paynter, a few friends and I took a weekend to capture the collection in the magic of Sea Ranch.  He shot it on film, which only brings together the beauty of the indigo and the scenery of the architecture and the coast.
